THE HONORABLE DONALD L. MCCULLIN FOUNDATION
This organization was founded in loving memory of The Honorable Donald L. McCullin. He firmly believed clothing should be given away to the underprivileged. He knew firsthand the circumstances of growing up poor, but he rose above it, and in doing so, wanted to ensure others could succeed as well. Judge McCullin realized the lack of success may often be due to poor self-image, which is normally attributed to one's appearance. "Clothes make the man" is more than just a cliche. Judge McCullin felt if a person has nice clothing, it makes them feel important. With that shot of confidence it helps them realize they have something viable to contribute to the community, or the world at large. Also students will be more willing to go to school, when they are not being teased about what they are wearing, this will allow them to concentrate on their studies rather than confrontations.
Giving Garments of Grace is just the first facet of the Donald L. McCullin Foundation. This foundation is a multi-purpose nonprofit organization, which will primarily aid the less fortunate members of society. Additional plans include: a scholarship fund, mentoring, seminars, job interview classes, and other services, every aspect will be designed to help the disadvantaged.
